Okay I take that back. it’s not EVERY Gender Unknown servant,
But here’s the thing.
yall will use he/him for Caenis and Mordred no questions asked (Mordred isn’t listed as Unknown, but is here for reasons).
While neither of them seem to mind when others refer to them with she/her, they both refer to themselves using masculine language and will fight anyone who tries to insinuate they’re women, despite whatever gendered language is used to refer to them.
So, you ignore their listed gender trait, how others refer to them, and instead base your language off of what they use for themselves.
This is kind and admirable.
but you don’t extend the same courtesy to Astolfo, Enkidu, or Douman.
I’m excluding the Emperor from this because they’ve got something else going on entirely, but all three of them– Astolfo, Enkidu, and Douman, refer to themselves using masculine language. However, because they all have Unknown genders, you give them “they/them” pronouns instead. You don’t use their preferred language.
Why are you respecting the presentation of Mordred and Caenis, but not the presentation of Astolfo, Enkidu, or Douman?
